Use your Gaming Headset with your Mobile Phone

A while ago I bought this gaming headset Asus R.O.G Vulcan ANC Noise Cancelling Gaming Headset and it has been fantastic for the price. To get even more value out of them I decided to try to get them to fully work with my Samsung S3. The headset can be used with the S3 straight out of the box and the phone has enough power to drive the speakers. Since the headset has two separate connectors for the speakers and the microphone you will not be able to use the headset for Skype calls or Google Hangouts. This can easily be fixed. Just get this little adapter:
This will make it possible to use your headset with your phone without any problems. sometimes the headset  microphone is not powerful enough to work with hand held devices. This is not the case with the Asus headset. It works flawlessly. I have also tried it with this phone without any problems

I am sure the adapter will work with most headsets, not only the one I have.
